Volleyball Report for 2025

As a volleyball co-coach (Mrs S. Midzi) alongside Mrs. M. Mateza and Fr B. James, I am pleased to present a summary of our 2025 volleyball season. Despite the loss of our head coach, Mrs V. Rwambiwa, in the first term, our team persevered. 2024 to 2025 captains Thatshelwa Ndlovu and Sitholumusa Sibanda led us through a year of growth and achievement. At the beginning, we struggled with performance, team dynamics, skill development, mental resilience, and tough matches. These challenges tested the team’s strength and unity.

In the first term, four athletes made the ATS national team: Keara Maphosa, Anita Mhaka, Divine-Grace Rwambiwa, and Msizi Moyo. Divine-Grace
excelled as the best libero. Our performance improved notably in the second term, culminating in a 4th place finish at an invitational tournament. During the third term, we secured bronze medal at the ATS national championship. Noteworthy victories against Arundel, Midlands Christian College, and Eaglesvale demonstrated the team’s dedication and progress. Four athletes – Anita Mhaka, Divine-Grace Rwambiwa, Msizi Moyo, and Natalia Mlotshwa were subsequently selected for the national team. Msizi excelled as best receiver of the tournament.

This year marked significant improvement, especially in major competitions. We look forward to building on this success in the future. 2025 to 2026 captains are Natalia Mlotshwa and Tatenda Mtungwazi.
